Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez receives leadership award from Chabad of Rancho Mirage

Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez was recognized this week by Chabad of Rancho Mirage, The Torah Oasis, with a Leadership Award. The award acknowledges his efforts in supporting the Jewish community and addressing antisemitism throughout the Coachella Valley.

The ceremony was organized under the theme “Countering Hate with Courage,” emphasizing unity against hate and violence.

“I am grateful for this honor and proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Jewish community,” Gonzalez said. “Standing up to hate is not only courageous, It is our responsibility.”

Gonzalez also expressed appreciation for Chabad’s leadership and service in the region. He added, “Thank you to Chabad of Rancho Mirage, Jewish Federation of the Desert and all those working every day to lift up the Jewish community.”
