On Thursday, Feb. 20, former La Quinta High School standout Brandon Leon’s current college team, the Cal State Northridge Matadors, lost 19-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the BYU Cougars.
The game took place at Robert J. Hiegert Field. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.
The Matadors’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at Robert J. Hiegert Field against BYU Cougars.
