Rep. Ken Calvert, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District since 1993, recently posted several statements on his official social media account addressing border security, government shutdowns, and the U.S. Marine Corps anniversary.

On November 9, 2025, Calvert emphasized support for Border Patrol agents and condemned violence against them. He stated, “Our Border Patrol agents execute federal policies passed by Congress and signed into law by the President. Attacks on them are attacks on democracy. They are also against the law, so anyone who commits that violence should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

The following day, November 10, 2025, Calvert commented on recent political developments regarding a government shutdown. He wrote, “Senator Fetterman is absolutely right. The Democrats who kept the government shutdown for the past 40 days, hurting our country, clearly did so simply to keep radical liberal voters pacified until after last Tuesday’s election. Politics at its absolute worst.”

Later that same day, Calvert marked a military milestone with a message recognizing the U.S. Marine Corps’ anniversary: “For 250 years, the world has come to learn that there is no better friend and no worse enemy than a United States Marine. Happy 250th Birthday, Marines. On behalf of a grateful nation – thank you!”

Ken Calvert was born in Corona, California in 1953 and continues to reside there at age 69. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University in 1975.
