Rep. Ken Calvert, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District since 1993, posted several updates on his official Twitter account between January 12 and 13, 2026, addressing law enforcement actions, state fuel prices, and legislative activity.
On January 12, Calvert reported on a recent immigration enforcement action in California. He stated: “ICE also arrested Hedayatullah Khogyani over the weekend, a criminal illegal alien from Afghanistan, convicted for assault causing great bodily injury and mayhem in Orange County, California.” (January 12, 2026).
Later that same day, Calvert commented on fuel costs in California. He wrote: “Yet another reminder that California drivers are paying significantly more than the rest of the country every time they fill up their gas tank thanks to Gavin Newsom and the radical liberals who run our state.” (January 12, 2026).
On January 13, Calvert highlighted recent legislative developments in Congress. He announced: “Last night, the House passed H.R. 909, the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act, a bill I cosponsored to provide resources for victims’ assistance programs, including child advocacy centers, domestic violence agencies, and rape crisis centers. The bill would redirect unobligated” (January 13, 2026).
Ken Calvert was born in Corona, California in 1953 and continues to reside there at age 69. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
