Rep. Ken Calvert, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District since 1993, used his social media platform to comment on issues affecting California, including wildfire recovery efforts, fraud investigations, and federal funding for law enforcement.
On January 7, 2026, Calvert reflected on the anniversary of major wildfires in Southern California: “One year ago today, the horrific Palisades and Eaton wildfires devastated Southern California communities. In the fire’s aftermath, the Trump administration oversaw the fastest debris removal in history. In just 28 days, EPA completed Phase 1 hazardous material removal. In just 9”.
The following day, Calvert criticized state leadership while commending ongoing federal investigations into alleged large-scale fraud: “Under Gavin Newsom’s failed leadership California has become ground zero for fraud on a massive scale. I’m thankful the Trump Administration and @USAttyEssayli are investigating and charging the criminals that Democrats have turned a blind eye toward.” (January 8, 2026).
Later that same day, Calvert addressed an upcoming House vote regarding public safety funding: “The funding package the House is set to vote on today provides critical resources for stronger law enforcement and efforts to combat illicit drugs.” (January 8, 2026).
Calvert was born in Corona, California in 1953 and continues to reside there. He graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in 1975.
