Ken Calvert, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 41st District since 1993, has recently shared his perspectives on several national security and community safety issues through social media posts. Born in Corona, California in 1953, Calvert graduated from San Diego State University in 1975 and continues to reside in his hometown.

On June 10, 2025, Ken Calvert expressed concerns regarding the actions of “Radical Democrats” who he claims are more focused on removing National Guard troops protecting federal buildings than addressing criminal illegal immigrants. He stated, “Radical Democrats are fighting harder to remove the National Guard troops who are protecting federal buildings from violent rioters than they are to remove criminal illegal immigrants like this individual. I will always put the safety of our communities above petty politics.”

Later that day, Calvert emphasized the importance of supporting military personnel. As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, he reiterated his commitment to their welfare by stating, “The men and women who serve our country are the backbone of our military. That’s why providing for them continues to be one of my top priorities as Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.”

In another post on June 10th, Calvert expressed gratitude towards federal agencies for their role in law enforcement. He acknowledged efforts by local branches such as @DEALOSANGELES and @FBILosAngeles in maintaining community safety by stating, “Thank you @DEALOSANGELES and @FBILosAngeles for taking this illegal immigrant drug trafficker off our streets. Violent riots should not stop federal authorities from enforcing federal laws and keeping our communities safe.”

Ken Calvert’s comments reflect his ongoing commitment to national defense and public safety issues amidst a politically charged environment.
