Rep. Ken Calvert, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District since 1993, recently used his social media platform to highlight his legislative priorities and criticisms of state-level policies.

On April 9, 2026, Calvert stated: “I joined The Morning Answer with @JenniferHorn and talked about the billions of dollars that are being ripped off of American taxpayers because CA Democrats refuse to do anything to stop it. The Trump administration and @TheJusticeDept are stepping in to stop these criminals.”

Later that day, he posted about recent federal funding for drug enforcement programs: “Earlier this year, President Trump signed my Defense Appropriations bill into law. My legislation provides record levels of funding for the National Guard’s counter drug program and efforts to stop the importation of deadly fentanyl into our communities.”

On April 10, Calvert addressed employment and immigration policy: “I believe in the basic principle that American jobs should go to people who are legally in our country. That’s why I wrote the bill that created E-Verify and why I’ve introduced the Legal Workforce Act to make its use mandatory.”

Calvert, who was born in Corona, California in 1953 and continues to reside there, has focused much of his legislative career on national security and workforce issues. He earned a BA from San Diego State University in 1975.
