Rep. Ken Calvert, who has represented California’s 41st District in the U.S. Congress since 1993, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from Labor Day recognition to sports legislation and community heroes.

On September 1, 2025, Calvert acknowledged the significance of workers and his support for lower taxes. He wrote, “Happy Labor Day! As a former small business owner, I know how essential the men and women who show up to work every day are to making everything possible. That’s why I believe they should keep more of the money they earn and voted to lower taxes on the working class, including no”.

The following day, September 2, Calvert praised an individual named Cadet Pickett. He stated, “Cadet Pickett is a hero. https://t.co/Jm6An59dAw”.

Later that same day, Calvert addressed concerns about girls’ athletics in Riverside County. He posted, “Girls should not be denied athletic opportunities from biological men or forced to compete in unfair games that jeopardize their safety, but that’s what’s happening here in Riverside County. That’s why I voted to pass the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (H.R. 28). https://t.co/EulErLhhmY”.

Ken Calvert was born in Corona, California in 1953 and continues to reside there at age 69. He graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1975.
