On Friday, Feb. 14, former Indio High School standout Richie Amavizca’s current college team, the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys, won 7-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Panhandle State Aggies.

The game took place at Carroll Gribble Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Aggies this season.

The Cowboys’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. at Brandt Field against Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds.
