On Friday, Feb. 28, former Desert Christian Academy standout Austin Klopfenstein’s current college team, the La Verne Leopards, won 6-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Whittier Poets.

The game took place at Hugh B. Mendez Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Poets this season.

The Leopards’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Ben Hines Field against Whittier Poets.
