Rep. Ken Calvert, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing California’s 41st District, posted a series of statements on February 25, 2026, addressing border security and the current political landscape in the United States.
In his first post of the evening, Calvert expressed criticism of Democratic policies regarding immigration and affirmed his support for former President Trump’s stance on border security. He stated: “Americans voted to put an end to the Biden era open borders policies that Democrats in Congress made clear tonight they are all too happy to go back to. I will work with President Trump to stop that from happening. We will keep our borders secured!” (February 25, 2026).
Later that night, Calvert echoed sentiments shared by Trump about the nation’s trajectory under Republican leadership: “I agree with President Trump that the state of our union is strong and getting stronger. Over the past year inflation is lower, interest rates have come down, our border is more secure, federal income taxes are lower, and gas prices are down. These are undeniable facts that are a” (February 25, 2026).
In a third post from the same evening, Calvert referenced an event he attended: “Honored to be surrounded by American heroes tonight! “ (February 25, 2026).
Ken Calvert has represented California’s 41st District in Congress since 1993. Born in Corona, California in 1953 and currently residing there at age 69, Calvert graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in 1975.
