On Saturday, Feb. 22, former La Quinta High School standout Kassidy Munoz’s current college team, the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

The game took place at John and Ann Rhoads Softball Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Hokies this season.

The Thunderbirds’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. at GCU Softball Stadium against Grand Canyon Antelopes.
