Desert Hot Springs home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Desert Hot Springs rose by $10,000 while total sales decreased by 2.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 169 homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,000 - a 4.9% increase over the $205,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 173 homes sold in Desert Hot Springs in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Desert Hot Springs for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,234, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
