Cathedral City home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Cathedral City rose by $13,250 while total sales decreased by 15.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 159 homes sold, with a median sale price of $307,000 - a 4.5% increase over the $293,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 188 homes sold in Cathedral City in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Cathedral City for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,058, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
