Palm Desert home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Palm Desert rose by $18,250 while total sales decreased by 65.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 312 homes sold, with a median sale price of $355,000 - a 5.4% increase over the $336,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 898 homes sold in Palm Desert in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Palm Desert for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,853, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
