Rising home prices in Mecca in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Mecca rose by $28,250 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $188,250 - a 17.7% increase over the $160,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Mecca in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mecca for 2019 was $1,956. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,894. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1%.
