December 2019: Palm Desert experienced a 4.5% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2019 in Palm Desert rose by $14,500 while total sales increased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2019, there were 176 homes sold, with a median sale price of $339,500 - a 4.5% increase over the $325,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 129 homes sold in Palm Desert in December 2018.

The median sales tax in Palm Desert for 2019 was $3,935. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,834. This marks an increase of 2.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
