City of Palm Desert issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
Join the City of Palm Desert by helping us fight food insecurity and collecting much-needed staple foods for FIND Food Bank. FIND is the primary food bank for the Coachella Valley, conducting its own food distribution events as well as supplying food to smaller food pantries.
Bag or box up your donation of canned or non-perishable food and bring it to Palm Desert City Hall on Saturday, October 24, 2020 between 8am to 12 noon. Masked and gloved volunteers will be ready in the parking lot in front of the Council Chamber to unload your donation in a safe, contact-free manner from the trunk of your car.
