CITY OF PALM DESERT: Light Up El Paseo

Christmastree

City of Palm Desert issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

Join the City of Palm Desert on December 4 when we host Light Up El Paseo, an evening of simple pleasures and holiday spirit.

Due to heightened coronavirus concerns, this event has been scaled back. It will now start at 6pm, at which time the festive lights will be switched on and more than a dozen holiday-themed inflatables will go up. There will be no welcoming speeches or official "flip of the switch" which might encourage gathering in small groups.

This should be considered a "dispersed event," meant to be enjoyed at your own pace, from your own starting point, all along the entire length of El Paseo. You’re encouraged to take in the sights from your car, but you may also stroll on El Paseo with your family at this event.

As you enjoy the holiday magic from El Paseo's sidewalks, we ask that everyone please abide by all State and County coronavirus guidelines: wear a mask at all times, and maintain social distance from anyone who does not live under your roof.
