CITY OF INDIAN WELLS: Meet Your Police, Deputy Fransik

Policespeak

City of Indian Wells issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.

Meet the City of Indian Wells’ newest Deputy, Joshua Fransik:

My name is Joshua Fransik and I am a Deputy Sheriff with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. I am originally from Moreno Valley, California, but spent much of my adult life in southeast Louisiana. I have always enjoyed helping others and giving back to my community as a public servant.

Before starting my career in law enforcement, I worked as a critical care paramedic in the State of Louisiana from 2006-2011. In 2011, I was promoted to a paramedic field supervisor and was transferred to Jackson County, Mississippi. I remained in this capacity until I was hired by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff in 2013.

Since being with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, I have worked in court services before being assigned to patrol at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station. In January 2020, I was awarded the opportunity to join the Palm Desert Station’s Traffic Team as a motorcycle enforcement officer. In October 2020, I was assigned to the City of Indian Wells. Traffic enforcement has always been a passion of mine, not only to prevent accidents and promote safe driving, but to educate the public to provide an overall safer driving experience.

In addition to law enforcement, I have made it a priority to continue my education. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Northwestern State University of Louisiana where I will also graduate with a Master of Science Degree in Homeland Security in the fall of 2020. I look forward to serving the citizens of Indian Wells
